We are a group of five Artists Who will be having an Exhibition collaborating with Malorees Junior School. Our names are Harley Price, Eamon Tigue, Katie Govier, Ritchie and Sharmin Kaniz. The aim is to raise awareness for the Children's future in a creative, fun and a different way. Mary Mcgowan is the director of Lyndon's Art Trust is also interested in working with us.
We will have a workshop with the children from, Lyndons Art Trust who are also part of Malorees Junior School creating 3D Birds. We will be introducing and physically making the 3D birds, and we will encourage the children to create there individual bird or dove. This will be done with clay, there will be various colours, glitters, ribbons to choose from to provide for the children. After the 3D piece's are done the Artists will ask the Children to write down there hopes, dreams or wishes on to ribbons and attach on to there own individual creations. Later on, we will put the birds on the trees and surrounding. There will be music provided by other chrildren as well.
Each child has different personalities and desires, so every child will create there own style of bird or birds. With there own decisions on colours, textures and what the massage will be on there individual creation. Children are the future and they can be very expressive in many different ways. Just by writing there hopes and dreams and actually creating the 3D piece could make any child or an individual really think about there future. We hope each person who will be in the workshop with us will be determined to build and create a brighter future for there self and people around them. We also hope this will be something that would physically last for some time and raise awareness for our future generations.
This Event will take place at the London Lighthouse on the 28th march 2011, from 4pm to 8pm. The Lighthouse is based in west London and it is two minute walk from Ladbroke Grove station.
